      Schools which are supposed to have produced good results (projected through sponsored advertisements and club propaganda) did not produce students who went to IIT or MMC.  Therefore their methods are not proven methods. Many parents know this. But for fear of being branded as ‘behind timers’ they keep on sending their children to those schools.  

      I feel that the teachers in school should care for the students, their mind setup and the results.

      Misbehavior of students – Parents responsibility to correct it

      Studies - the teacher is responsible. Counseling individual students on methods of studies,(like when and where to sudy, how to improve memory power, thyanam etc) according to individual abilities  is the teachers responsibility. Advice on marking scheme and model answers for tests given by teachers might improve results.

 Schools (in Tamilnadu, India) compete with one another to produce 100 % results and top rankers.  Being overzealous they finish the syllabus well in advance, the time-tested syllabus which was designed by experienced educationists, supposed to be finished in 10 months and that too at a certain age. It leads to a lot of half-cooked students who will not be able to shine in exams like TNPCEE and IIT. That’s why even though schools claim district first (IN Sanskrit+, leads to where?!)  none of them were able to send students to professional courses inn reputed institutions. 
     
      I feel that cramming of courses into students at an earlier age than what it was designed for will cause mental agony in young children and when they are not able to cope up they will give up. 100% will not be achieved..  AGE is an important factor. And at the same time the best students do not  perform well in  TNPCEE and IIT entrance exams  as their foundation has been built in a short period without giving them time to absorb  the fundamentals  of the subjects. It's like electroplating with high currentin in a short time,forms blisters and drop down easily.

      I feel that the syllabus for class 10 and 12 should be started only in April, not the previous year itself. THEY are too YOUNG to grasp.  After a holiday in May it may be continued. A lesson should be taught in a spread of 3 weeks, giving time for grasping.  The monthly tests given in class should be only for one chapter. Quarterly exams be held in 35% of lessons. Half-yearly be held in 75% of lessons etc.  By January tests on the whole book may be given.  Education must be encouraging not damaging.

Even the tuition teachers start their classes for 10th and 12th as early as February in Std 9 and Std 11 respectively. Retention of clients and fishing in more!! I have never invited even a single student into my tuition classes from the school where I worked. It’s degrading yourself.
